Could it be that, as you were having a bad day, you somehow allowed your **** mood to cause you to be rude to the person who then told you as a caravanner to bugger off? Perhaps some other caravanner had previously been rude to her? It would be highly unlikely that a shop person would just come out with something along the line of 'caravanners are not welcome here' without being provoked.

WRONG WRONG JUST BLOODY IGNORANT AND WRONG. SHe made the first comment, which was then supported a a customer in the shop.

Whenever these types of threads emerge there is always the same small group of respondents who quickly bob up and say "You're basing that one just on individual" and whilst that is, demonstrably, correct this group never takes the same approach when a post provides a positive view of a town from "just one individual".
The reality is there are large groups of individuals in many country towns who do not like "terrorists" (read tourists) - their word, not mine.
