Is this contamination an ongoing problem in Eucla.
The first post was back in April, 4 months ago.
I do know that sometimes fuel can be contaminated or bowsers and hoses can be misrepresented so I always have a quick sniff and a look when I first pull the trigger on the pump.
I haven't been to Eucla for years but Border Village is a very close option for fuel if needed.

We have two cars for the fist time in many years, the new one (mine) being diesel the other one 'ours' being petrol. Having never owned a diesel before I have to be careful not to get it wrong. In our house we now talk about filling up with fuel instead of going to get petrol and my hubby fills up our car and I fill up mine. But I still get out of the car saying diesel diesel diesel to myself.
Hopefully the people involved get compensated and their stress levels aren't too high in these already stressful times.

I have a similar situation - a petrol SUV and a diesel 4WD. Now, if you put diesel into the petrol car, nothing much will happen - the car simply won't run. BUT, if you petrol a diesel engine, it becomes expensive. To try to minimise the risk, I painted the inside of the fuel filler flap bright orange. hen you open the flap if smacks you in the face. Not foolproof, but hopefully better than nothing

A good Idea, I had 3 diesel vehicles and 2 petrol, there was no chance to mistakenly filling any with the wrong fuels as I had my own tanks petrol in one driveway and diesel in another, however if the fuel delivery guy mixed them up that would have been sad but at a cost to them.
