Try a massage ball/roller under your hamstring while driving, levels things out a bit, use to fix mine when I did get sciatica a few years back, hamstrings have a lot to do with it. You will be surprised.

I know the question was about a pillow for long distance driving and sciatica problems but my experience was that after suffering many,( 20 years) trying all sorts of different so called remedies I finally resorted to surgery. A laminectomy.
Best thing ever been pain free now for 5 years.
Recovery was very quick. I realize that every one has different skeletal issues what works for me may not be suitable for others but my suggestion would be if you have consistent back pain in the buttocks and down the leg get a referral to a spine specialist for his expert opinion.
