substandard roads are one of the main causes of accidents an unfortunately if some of us slow down it brings out the road rager in some people who are in a hurry and they take risks that put the rest of us in peril.

Yep, I agree Doug speed and fatigue are killers - fortunately most of the GN's I know are not in a hurry to reach a destination, they enjoy the journey.

I would guess the investigations will keep on keeping on for some time. The crash is still spoken of up here.

Some clown has started a petition wanting the speed limit on the Bruce Highway raised to 130 KPH!! I can only assume he lives in the "Kingdom of the Great SE" where roads are much better (mainly paid for by the resources that come from the north). The hospital staff are astounded to say the least! Perhaps this bloke wants to get to the mortuary before everyone else!!

I just parked next to a 27 foot caravan with a family of 6 towed by a Ford Ranger. Enough said.
