Greg 1 the recent Qld "out break" came from within Qld. So did the SA "out break" and the Victorian one. Ask folks in the UK if lockdowns work.
But we all have our opinions on this subject. Posts above prove that if all else fails get personal rather than debate the facts.
Yes you are absolutely right.
The fact you didn't mention was that those cases which occurred within each state in every case, theCovid came from someone from overseas being in a hospital or isolation hotel in that state.

Rather than rehashing the usual arguments, when is the last time we had a death attributed to COVID in Australia? If we measure the appropriateness of the State's methods and tactics for handling outbreaks, and contrast that to what happens in the rest of the world, Health authorities and State Governments in Aust are doing Fantastic job. The anti-lockdown ranters need to come up with some argument that lockdowns do not work. I have skin in the game, I don't want to catch it. Businesses that are hurting need to get angry at the virus, not the ways it is being handled.

X2 well said.
Perhaps the anti lockdowners could change places with those o'seas trying to get back to our lockdown environment.
edit .. If closing borders don't work then why does the Fed Govt not open our international borders as they recommend for the States. A bit of a double standard all round methinks.
Who's playing politics here?
