Why dont we see any weather records that go back in history. The older records were either deleted or are not included to suit a climate change agenda.
We have university courses on climate change, brain washing at its best, particularly when the teachers are part of the groups that are not including the true figures from previous periods of time. Any study without all the facts available will never reveal the true situation.
We have governments who can see an opportunity to collect extra taxes from a gullible sector.
We have the EU which is imposing a tax, your words are, the tax is coming. Then in the next breath we have an Australian govt that is going to implement a tax here. Then *their* product costs wont increase despite the Aus Govt tax or the EU tax. I would like to see that..You have never ever been in business in my observation. Please outline how all of this will work in Laymans terms without costing us all.
It would be a very courageous government to *wrong side* the fossil fuel industry. In the same sentence you make a wild statement that a carbon tax may not be so bad. Run that out in any federal or state election campaign. When it comes to taxes and legislation, it is a very rare occasion that any government repeals what is in place to introduce something new, particularly when they stand to collect more money.
If, as you say the planet in the next generation will be unliveable, then tell us all how a paper bag full of money given to a group of people calling themselves the EU will fix this. Why does this all have to happen in 14 years and dont bring up global warming figures as currently, due to records being removed, or not included, they are not accurate.
Are you a politician? Current or maybe retired. Your other handle is not Bob Brown is it?

i hope this comes out but as you mentioned bob brown i seen his name mentioned elsewhere
Just ask yourself, 'what if the experts are correct that climate chanhe is real'. Why not do something about it? The world will be ruined if nothing is done. If climate change in NOT real then doing something about the rising CO2 emissions and temperatures won't be a bad thing.
Again, it costs much more to fix it than prevent it and you trivial, selfish, time wasting arguments just show how selfish and pathetic you are.

You seem a little troubled Buzz, settle down!
You must have clicked the link above and now realise that there is a scientific explanation for what is happening to our planet.
What if your experts, arent experts?
My concern is your group wanting to throw my money at a solution which has no scientific base at all.
Sure we get a cleaner car and all our cows will have corks up their rear ends but will this lower the temperature that the weather is providing? If it doesnt drop the temp then your theory is mute and it has cost us money none of us can afford
My concern again is your need to send my hard earned money to an overseas organisation that we arent even a member of and have been in existence about the same time as my pet cat has been alive. I will be very surprised if the EU has not changed its complete structure again within the next ten years.
You need to realise that all members on a public forum are entitled to state their view in a polite manner.
If I may suggest that if this doesnt fit your agenda on here, you could probably find a pro *fix the weather with a tax* forum where you may spruke your beliefs until those cows with the corks up their bums comes home.
You may want something to study in bed tonight so, if you missed it, here is the link again.

Until now I wasnt aware that our Mr Brown was against the development of alternative fuels.
He has always been a tree hugger, it was fairly recently that he was the organiser of a large group of protesters that chained themselves to a railway line in Nth Qld.
I know that this has been his forte since retiring.
I know he is dead set against mining as well. I think he is promoting hydro electricity on the worlds larger rivers.
I often wonder if people with as strong beliefs as Mr B actually live in homes made of timber, bricks and mortar.

As I said, its frustrating to see climate deniers ignoring the facts because they can't see the bigger picture.
You must have clicked the link above and now realise that there is a scientific explanation for what is happening to our planet.
Again, that effect happens over tens of thousands of years in which time biodiversity can adapt. Human induced climate change is having a much greater effect over decades in which time biodiversity can't adapt.
There is over 60% less biodiversity mass since the 70's. That's how quickly we are destroying life on earth yet you completely ignore this for some petty argument over a tax.
What if your experts, arent experts?
My concern is your group wanting to throw my money at a solution which has no scientific base at all.
Time and time again you're ignoring the scientific fact. Your just repeating trivial garbage to justify your beliefs.
Sure we get a cleaner car and all our cows will have corks up their rear ends but will this lower the temperature that the weather is providing?
Methane emissions mostly come from the cows' mouths. There's no need for corks. This demonstrates how uninformed you are or how much you are ignoring the facts.
EVs will release 50% less CO2e than ICEs over their life time. It is much less if the electricity is sourced from renewables.
If it doesnt drop the temp then your theory is mute and it has cost us money none of us can afford
You're ignoring the facts again. The temperatures will only drop after the CO2e is EXTRACTED from the atmosphere but first we must stop releasing it.
My concern again is your need to send my hard earned money to an overseas organisation that we arent even a member of and have been in existence about the same time as my pet cat has been alive.
Selfish, small minded, trivial argument. Look at the bigger picture.
I will be very surprised if the EU has not changed its complete structure again within the next ten years.
You need to realise that all members on a public forum are entitled to state their view in a polite manner.
Yes. I totally agree but it's still frustrating to see worthless, ignorant, uninformed trash being posted.
If I may suggest that if this doesnt fit your agenda on here, you could probably find a pro *fix the weather with a tax* forum where you may spruke your beliefs until those cows with the corks up their bums comes home.

I've known about this for years and, as previously said, its trivial.
You just keep drilling holes in the hull of the sinking boat. Climate deniers need to realise the psycologigal reasons that they reject the facts and only see false news that support their beliefs. Did you read the links that I posted or are you too afraid to realise more facts? There's no hope for you until you realise why you are denying the facts. Only then will you start accepting the truth.

Hi Peter. Normally I agree with your representations, but in this case I reckon you're wrong. The highlighted text above could be better amended to better brainwashed by the rubbish they're forced to believe. Meanwhile, the standards of mathematics, language, both written and spoken, and social responsibility are rapidly declining. And giving press to outspoken children, like Greta Thunberg, who should be at school, only hastens this decline. So so true, they are going to have to fix up the mess we leave them.
Silly old farts like us(me included) will be long gone so maybe there is a chance they can do it without unnecessary criticism

Where Does the Carbon Dioxide Really Come From?
Professor Ian Plimer could not have said it better!
If you've read his book you will agree; this is a good summary.
PLIMER: "Okay, here's the bombshell. The volcanic eruption in Iceland. Since its first spewing of volcanic ash has, in just FOUR DAYS, NEGATED EVERY SINGLE EFFORT you have made in the past five years to control CO2 emissions on our planet - all of you.
Of course, you know about this evil carbon dioxide that we are trying to suppress - its that vital chemical compound that every plant requires to live and grow and to synthesize into oxygen for us humans and all animal life.
I know....it's very disheartening to realize that all of the carbon emission savings you have accomplished while suffering the inconvenience and expense of driving Prius hybrids, buying fabric grocery bags, sitting up till midnight to finish your kids "The Green Revolution" science project, throwing out all of your non-green cleaning supplies, using only two squares of toilet paper, putting a brick in your toilet tank reservoir, selling your SUV and speedboat, vacationing at home instead of abroad, nearly getting hit every day on your bicycle, replacing all of your 50 cent light bulbs with $10.00 light bulbs..... well, all of those things you have done have all gone down the tubes in just four days.
The volcanic ash emitted into the Earth's atmosphere in just four days - yes, FOUR DAYS - by that volcano in Iceland which has totally erased every single effort you have made to reduce the evil beast, carbon. And there are around 200 active volcanoes on the planet spewing out this crud at any one time - EVERY DAY.
I don't really want to rain on your parade too much, but I should mention that when the volcano Mt. Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines in 1991, it spewed out more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than the entire human race had emitted in all its years on earth.
Yes, folks, Mt. Pinatubo was active for over one year - think about it.
Of course, I shouldn't spoil this 'touchy-feely tree-hugging' moment and mention the effect of solar and cosmic activity and the well-recognized 800-year global heating and cooling cycle, which keeps happening despite our completely insignificant efforts to affect climate change.
And I do wish I had a silver lining to this volcanic ash cloud, but the fact of the matter is that the bush fire season across the western USA and Australia this year alone will negate your efforts to reduce carbon in our world for the next two to three years. And it happens every year. Just remember that your government just tried to impose a whopping carbon tax on you, on the basis of the bogus 'human-caused' climate-change scenario.
Hey, isn't it interesting how they don't mention 'Global Warming' anymore, but just "Climate Change" - you know why?
It's because the planet has COOLED by 0.7 degrees in the past century and these global warming bull**** artists got caught with their pants down. And, just keep in mind that you might yet be stuck with an Emissions Trading Scheme - that whopping new tax - imposed on you that will achieve absolutely nothing except make you poorer.
It won't stop any volcanoes from erupting, that's for sure.
But, hey, relax...give the world a hug and have a nice day!"
