Hi all, Welcome to our new photo-sharing forum. I would suggest that each person who wants to post images create a new 'thread' so people are able to access the info more easily and we avoid ending up with one unwieldly post. The files must be in either jpg, gif, or bmp format and the total size of ALL images that you download must not exceed 1 mb. Note that there is a message which appears above the 'download image' box which states that 'images must not exceed 9.765 kb.' This is only if you plan to upload 10 images on the one post -- if you want to upload only one, it can be 1 mb. You can also provide a link to your website (or picasso space) so that others can view photos that you have uploaded elsewhere on the web. Please let us know if you feel that the restrictions here are too limiting and we will find an alternative. PS: The image attached is a gorge at Karijini and the file size was 72 kb.
I will post some pics of my travels when I get a chance. I think the posting limits are generous, generally for viewing on a monitor 72 pixels per inch gives adequate resolution and saves file size. This resoulution also means that if those prone to printing off your pics and claiming them to be theirs will get very ordinary results. I'm not sure of the bandwidth allowance to the forum either, I know some of these fora do have bandwidth limitations and if you exceed it then the site shuts down till the next month and you get a "bandwidth exceeded" notice. So you have been a busy little Webmaster then?

lesley, the rest of us use something like photobucket or I use picasa, go to the website of either, in picasas case you must download the program and register, it is called "web albums" once registered upload the photos that you want the whole world to see (be cautious as everybody has access) to the web album, you will then have a link somewhere on that site, on picasa it is over to the right about quarter way down, you then copy this link to the listing in the forum. I.E. start your thread off as " these are my photos of .............." and then place the url in as part of your description. you are not dense, we all had to learn, steep learning curve for us all, but well worth it

Bridge looks alot different now. Has 2 new bridges being built next to it. A big mess at the moment. Supposed to be finished by November. Drove across it tonight coming home from Geelong. Will be nice when all the cranes, builders sheds and temporary structures are gone and we get our beautiful view back.

Perhaps you might think about doing a watermark on your photographs. No one can steal them. This can be done in Picasa, smart photo editor or elements. Just a thought.
