Do you mean the NRMA Tourist and Caravan Park Guide lilly? If so we use it but usually add between $5 and $10 to the quoted site charges as they are out of date even in the current issue.
They don't have all the parks listed either. I guess it's just down to those that want to pay to be included in them.

Will haver a look at the NRMA next week when I head into the service centre in Liverpool, I knew about the caravan & camping guides one.
Just a side note how many have joined the two van park clubs listed here,
Top Parks (includes the Presidential Card) Big4
I have joined both as it may be beneficial in the longer term. average discount is about 10% for both...

Hi ozi2. Hello everyone, i am another new member to this wonderful site. I have been using www.ozcamps for last 2 years and it is very good. Click on " map of camping sites " at top of web page to get map of Australia with currently 433 sites. Click individual ballons or use State and town names on right hand side. Tells you if dogs are allowed or not. Filter underneath map allows you to fine tune search. Also try www.around-oz.com. If you put " free camping sites Australia " in google search you will get pages and pages of results including National Parks plus Forestry sites. Hope this helps. Happy free or cheap camping plus a safe and wonderful journey getting there everyone.
They sure do out and about but was more intrested in camping book they have or had

I have just had a look at both books [ NRMA Camping in aust ] & the Camps Aust 5.] Looked at one area for a comparison>........ Barington Tops NP & Chichester State Forest. these areas are side by side on the mid north coast , NSW, NW of Newcastle.
The camps 5 has 4/5 camp areas listed, the NRMA camping has about 24 camp areas listed , I have been in this area afew years back & the NRMA listings are close to the mark as I have a stste forest map of the area with all listed.
In saying this they could have do better with the maps , they are a bit basic & camp areas are not numbered as in the camps 5. , but road directions are given. This is the only area that I compared as I have been there. The extra areas listed are a bit more off the beaten track where as camps 5 are more on the main roads.
Hope this helps a little & @ $10 bucks it has to be good value
Yes ,I did get it from local NRMA office.
Happy camping.
