Here is an extract from the link in the previous post about the connection to the British Royal Family through Queen Mary (Mary of Teck)....
Genealogy
The descendents of Vlad Tepes' sons, Vlad epelu and Mihnea I "the Bad", are ancestors of Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain.[10][11] Mary of Teck, descendant of Vlad the Impaler, joined the British Royal Family in 1893 upon her marriage to HRH Prince George, Duke of York, who became King George V in 1910. In October 2011, Prince Charles publicly claimed that genealogy proves that he is a distant relative of Vlad the Impaler. The claim accompanied his announcement of a pledge to help conserve the forested areas of Transylvania.[12]

I thought it was more likely that they were related to Count Duckula! Just have a close look at old Charlie............

Aw Bill, don't be mean.
Poor old Charlie is the heir apparent to our throne, and has had one of the best romances in british history- fairytale wedding to fairytale princess while his true queen faithfully loved him from afar until they were joyously united (violins play) after many years.
He's no too bad after all, is he.

Its bloody amazing when one of the rellies does the family geneoligy, and finds out that you have ancestors, back to the 12th century in England and Scotland. I went to an ancestors grave at Christchurch cathederal in Hampshire , England that was dated 1206, a Norman knight. The cathederal was amazing, also.I also went to meet the Duke of Argyle in Scotland.Pretty shocking for a smelly fisherman from NQ.

I,m related to the Laird of Stehousemure in Scotland, and he,s related to the Duke of Argyle, So you can address me as your lordship. They all put their pants on one leg at a time, so I guess we are all the same. Some are just more equal than others...........

Ok your Lordship, I'll bow next time we meet
Remember this bloke from NSW who they say is the real King Of England...
I suppose we all have to be related to somebody back there, (England and early centuries) Most of us come from there somewhere. My late husband is a direct descendant of Sir Anthony Eden. My brother used to look like Prince Charles, they've both changed as they got older. Still a bit of a resemblance. His son is the image of Prince Edward and my sister has Princess Alexandra's nose (lol She actually looks like her too)
Sheesh.....we just never know who is in our family history closet, just glad it wasnt' me...he he...

Hi Mate
Keeping it in the family? I wonder if there is any truth in any of this?
