Yep, I handed in my Ned Kelly Armour and due to a terrible weather forecast for the next three days did a runner and left Kelly Country. I was leaving tomorrow, Wednesday anyway.
Where am I then, I hear you ask? Well, I am now back on the farm in Young for farm sitting duties and then, well, time will tell. I hope to leave here end April for my 2020 Northern Migration.
If you are nearby or passing through and want a pow wow send up the smoke signals. I'll see them.

Hey Doug, You are not going to escape the oncoming weather where you are! I hope your Teepee is set up on a hill or you have pontoons fitted. Hahaha

All good here mate. Well sort off. You are right, I didn't escape the weather but did know it was a coming this way as well even BUT it's not as bad as down in Kelly Country as they really coped it and I didn't have to travel in the wet so the plan worked.
I borrowed my Grandson's 'floaties' No, not those floaties but swim floaties, for my safety and even though the aluminium teepee is down in the bottom paddock all seems OK so far. There is a little water on the ground around me but nothing to worry about. I have water views now
They really need a good soaking all through this area as many others do. Things are not good around here. Farmers going down, stock transport businesses going down, not good mate.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there (I'll try too)

Getting close to 100mm since it started 6.30am Wednesday, to 2pm Thursday, at Lavington (north side of Albury). Still 22 degrees though

Me being me, it took me a while but I finally realised you were in that area Craig so as I drove through there Tuesday morning on the M31, I yelled out 'Hi ya Craig" but not hearing a reply, thought you must have still been in the land of nod.
Hope to meet you one day. Maybe later in the year.
Hope you enjoy the sport ground there when it's all finished with the upgrades.

You must have been a fairly early starter Doug, we usually hear our maggies around 6am. We can see the night lights glow, of Lavvy sportsground, from our house.
cheers mate

We took the rain for ya Doug. Went and had a cuppa with ya mate Ned in Glenrowan.
We stayed at the night at the Mokoan rest stop then because we didnt want to drive in the rain , stayed another.
In one of the storms we had I changed into my togs and had a shower from the run off from the shelter roof.
Dave was horrified that I did this. I thought it a brilliant idea as I was saving water.
Hope I didnt scare too many people away though lololol
