Facebook ?? How can I clear Chinese characters/numbers.

I appreciate some members may not follow facebook ,it is a great time waster
My Facebook has been taken over by Chinese characters/numbers etc.
I really do not need or understand them and wish to remove them.
Can someone give me a clue how to do this ??? Many thanks wise people.

maybe your text has been changed to wing dings (I think thats what its called), I dont use face book but go to user setting and change your text type to something else
