Last night I had a visitor in the vans shower with me, a cane toad, the only way it could get in there is via the grey water hose, via the grey water tank, then up the pipe work. What is frightening, is that now I may have a grey water tank full of cane toads (there are hundreds here), so if I didn't know about that, I could inadvertently at our next stop when dumping the grey water seed an area with cane toads. just goes to show how easy it would be for them to spread.
Today I will have to have a look inside the grey water tank, and cane toad proof my grey water hose, good job I have plenty of old socks.

Put some dettol down the drain hole, will disinfect and kill the toads. Win, win.

Hi Ian
To the best of my knowledge, Jayco caravans, use a one way Hepvo valve, between the shower and grey water tank
Never worked in a winery, but in the mineral sands industry, the inner workings of a Hepvo valve, are known as a fishtail
Below is a pic of a Hepvo valve, (which is easy to spot), on the shower grey water pipe, as they have a compression fitting each end
If you have one installed, then even if the cane toad got into the grey water tank, it could not have got into the shower cubical
Perhaps it hopped inside the caravan, when you was not looking
Also from memory, KTF (I hope I got his name right), a friend of Dougwee Put up a post about making a toad/frog blocker, on his grey water pipe

If you have a grey water tank get a Hepvo valve, nothing is going to come up then, cane toads or smells. Every grey water tank really should have them.

I tend to think you guys are right, the van has the Hepvo valves on every circuit, however the toads could get into the grey water tank. How this one got into our shower has me beat, if it didn't come up via the plumbing.

I reckon he was on ya back outside, that is back-outside not backside, although he might have been there and as you came into the van he hitched a ride.
