i would like to thank towns and caravan parks that have been particularly good to grey nomads during COVID-19. We hope to travel to WA from Victoria once the problem is over. any thoughts as to towns/CVPs along that way we could say thanks to and your story of why they should be thanked?

Hi Shane
I agree, I think your idea has a lot of merit given the mixed response travellers have received recently.
Perhaps a separate forum section to take posts promoting helpful businesses(caravan parks etc) as I for one would like to consider supporting those who have supported travellers who have found themselves homeless/address less so to speak and welcomed them in tough times.
Great idea I think.
Cheers AL

I think that is already available perhaps by using the Recommendations forum.

I think that anyone who has been afforded permission to either stay on or come to a caravan park whilst this crisis is ongoing would have already thanked the management for allowing them to be there.
Although some parks are allowing extended visits, they are not charitable organisations and they are charging for the accommodation. If travellers were not allowed to stay their income would be near zero.
