I will be cynical. The premier was the least popular premier in this weeks survey. There's an election coming. So expect to see a lot of relaxation of the rules.

If she opens the Gates (State Borders) to soon, Qld may be flooded with those from "Vic The PLACE TO BE" But the Buggers are never there though.
and may create the need for a second lockdown.

It's Vic The Education State now. Which I think is hilarious as all the schools and Unis are shut. And Dan the man has said they won't be opening anytime soon.

Yeah, there would be plenty of Grey Nomads ready to head North for a warm Winter and escape the iciness of the Socialist Republic of Victoria.

The negative vibes re Vic above, must come from out of state'rs, have youngish friends in Vic who love him, maybe they are what you call ( I don't, at least to their face) City Latte sippers.

If you wonder how Dan keeps getting in, look at our flawed electoral system. Majority votes don't get you past the post, preferences do. Of course, we all know the persuasion of the inner city greenies (i.e. the Latte Sippers as you so eloquently call them), he can always count on them.
BTW, we two "Buggers" have no ambition to "escape" from Vic to anywhere else, we're fine where we are thanks. We have a tourism industry down here that needs support, so none of our money will be spent of in Qld I'm afraid, regardless of how desperately they need it.

We are southeners who have been travelling this great country for 7.5 years. Are currently sitting this out in Hervey Bay.
The manager of C P has been great, hopefully travel restrictions will be lifted soon so we can travel queensland.
Have penciled in all this year to be in queensland, have no problem with measures that have put in place by various states.

I thought we are not allowed to be Political.
Labor won 55 seats in the 88-seat Legislative Assembly, an increase of eight seats .
The Coalition suffered a significant swing against it and won 27 seats, a decrease of 11 seats.
Ah yes everyone,
We Qlders can go for a drive from midnight tonight. We can enjoy a picnic with the family, take the dog to a doggy park, enjoy fish & chips down at The Strand - doing all sorts of nice things PROVIDING we don't travel further than 50kms (one way) & the police will be enforcing it!! So we'll go bird watching down to Reedbeds Rd or somewhere similar next week.
If it's abused, the doors will be shut again.
And don't worry about the election - yes, a big issue is not letting the kids go back to school but a bigger one is Law & Order. If you want your car pinched & trashed, come to regional Qld!
As from Midnight Friday 1st May Queensland will ease the restrictions on home isolation.
Let's hope that the people of Queensland adhere to the new laws. Then we can at least get out and about if and when we need to.
