Have just purchased a Jayco pop-top (not picked it up yet). It is fitted with a Heron AirCommand 2 a/c unit which is not working. The previous owner advises it was working, before being parked up. Im not certain that it has power to the a/c unit. I didnt see any obvious signs like a light up power switch? Can someone who is familiar with these Jayco air conditioners advise me where I should start troubleshooting? info like where the fuses are etc would be most appreciated. I pick the van up in about 1 weeks time & want to get on top on this fairly quickly.
Hi Digger, Again welcome to us mob, some are experts, some are still learning.
There is a wealth if info in the storage of the forum - just do a Search or Advanced Search, type in what you're looking for & hopefully you'll find answers.
Also have a look through the other sections of the forum.
Your air conditioner - other than the controls on the front panel, the only other thing that could stop the unit is the RCD. Can you check another 240v appliance? The microwave panel, clock is ok. If there is no 240v, then you have to find the RCD. Mine is under a drop down door under the aircon panel & behind the TV.
I was lucky the previous owner kept all of the manuals - they are in a blue folder, kept in the cupboard under the TV. Ask whoever you are buying it from where the manuals might be.
Let's know how you get on.

Hi Possum/Warren,
Thanks for your replies. I collect the van next Thursday. The blue folio of documents is in the van. When van was plugged into 240V the microwave was operational. I checked that. However at this stage, I dont know If the a/c is on a separate circuit. Or where the fuse/breaker is located. I will let you know how I get on. Hopefully its something simple.
Mine is under a drop down door under the air cond panel & behind the tv. Is that inside the mini roller door/credenza style thingy? Will check that out first.

Problem solved! Found a grey electrical lead in the adjoining cupboard. It was plugged into a PowerPoint that was switched off. Simple fix & all working good now.
