What bike rack should I fit to the rear of my Sprinter van. It has a bar as well as a step. (My bike is a basic Giant model but I might upgrade to an electric model at some point.)
Thanks in advance.
PS What does the STICKY in front of some message mean? (Im a newbie ) this

Sticky, are permanent threads at the top of the page.
I can't help on an actual bike rack, but make sure you get the balance right in relation to the towbar.

Hi Aussiefolk
I have a Fiamma (2 bicycle), bike rack, which came with my second hand motorhome, which does not have rear doors, or steps
The bookwork said maximum weight of 35 Kg (from memory)
I have carried an electric (Beyond Oil brand), bike which weighs about 25 Kilo all up, but removed the battery, and placed on the inside rack
Plus a normal el-cheapo, aluminium K Mart type brand, which weighed about 14 Kilo, on the outside rack
I had them both on the rack, while I did a road trip of approximately 12,000 kilometres
Therefore I can confirm that the Fiamma, was suitable for the job
You will have to measure, to see if the Fiamma will bolt to one door, but I do know that the rack part is moveable sideways
As an endnote
For whatever reason, I did not actually use the bicycles, so have found the bike rack, handy to carry other stuff
I have no experience/knowledge of any other brand of bicycle rack

Hi Aussiefolk,
Fiamma are excellent. You get what you pay for with bike racks. The one you need is based on the weight it will carry. Electric bikes tend to weigh about 15-20kg (mine is 16 kg and my husband's is 18.5) without the battery so if you are thinking of getting one, it may pay to buy a rack that will take the weight of the electric bike rather than your current wheels.
