Over the past few years, I have been crocheting rugs - tartan style - and donating to nursing homes. Recently, as we have been hunkering due to Covid-19 I have been madly working on my most recent tartan rug.
Then came a request. We are hunkered on a farm, and the owners wife, who is very crafty, asked me to finish one of her projects. She has been diagnosed with MND, and had been crocheting rugs for her three grandsons. Each with it's own theme. Her illness has stopped her from crocheting the last rug for the eldest grandson. That is where I stepped in. Our crocheting styles are different, as are our tensions, but it all came together.
The John Deere inspired rug was presented to young H***** last week. He was over the moon. I am sure he will cherish it forever. Now back to my current project.
What a wonderful thing to do for her...and for him. Beautiful work.
