Isn't it a pity that Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are not displayed with the goods on sale, with any/all products.

I have been using a chemist brand from a major name chemist (not the warehouse mob) hand sanitiser for many moons before CV19 was even thought off and no matter what shop I got it from was just under $10 for a litre pump bottle. NOW! I haven't seen it for ages and other brands if available are around $15+ for a 500ml bottle and they are not OZ made ones, they are higher in price, many of them and that is if available anyway. In the area I'm in anyway.
I have a recipe for hand sanitiser and have found it difficult to get the ingredient's but finally got the three items needed so will mix that up and see what it is like.
What I am saying is the price is much higher now for similar product.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

It would be good to know the alcohol content as that is what does the germ killing. If their claim of 99.9% is true it would be pretty high. Should be at least 60% by volume.

A friend makes his own and calls it popcorn majik, l call it moonshine, he reckons it prevents any virus attack and sanitizers you buy made in China, and sold by Bunnings are not as good.
And you get a lot more pleasure using his.
It also eases the confined to barracks syndrome.
It comes in five litre containers , made in Australia, used both internally and externaly. I vote for his stuff.

I read something a couple of days ago where it was stated that washing your hands with soap was the best. Hand sanitiser was only spoken of as this corona-virus issue came out. It is more convenient than soap as you can use it on the run.
CDC recommends using ABHR with greater than 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol in healthcare settings.
Unless hands are visibly soiled, an alcohol-based hand rub is preferred over soap and water
in most clinical situations due to evidence of better compliance compared to soap and water.
Hand rubs are generally less irritating to hands and are effective in the absence of a sink.

Experts say the gold standard is a sanitiser with 60 to 80 per cent alcohol the level required to kill the virus if it is on your hands.
Hi everyone,
The wife and I were in the Big Green Shed this afternoon and came across Oomph Hand Sanitiser in 1Lt bottles for $13 and 500mm bottles for $6.95
We gave a 500mm bottle ago. Smells ok, So we will see how it goes. kills 99.9% of germs.
At lease the price will force others to follow suit.
They had tons of the stuff all over the store.
