Yes folks its that time again where I have to do our van service, need to find a friendly caravan park that will let me do the bearings, get my check list out and start going over the vehicle. I do a 12 monthly check, takes me a few days as my check list has over a hundred items to go over.

Hey Ian,
Isn't there another area for these conversations? Like "I digress".

Great idea IANA alot cheaper and you know the van has been done and done correctly as its difficult to find good service these days in the rv industry.
Cheers

I was hoping you were looking for a spot in Sydney - You could park up next to mine on the driveway and do mine as well. Che Sara.

I thought General was for camping related, but not technical subjects, hence our caravan is used for camping. "I digress" is for other un-camping related subjects, and technical is for "How you actually do the nitty gritty".

Hay iana, Do you want to publish you caravan service checklist. Sounds like it is very detailed, and worth a look/read.

I was in my younger days an aircraft mechanic/engineer, licensed. So its more an inspection rather than a service. but you asked for it.
Thank you iana, I think that's a list we should all look at. Predictive maintenance is all-way better than having to fix it on the side of the road.

Great checklist Ian - Caravan Council of Australia also have similar style checklists that can be looked up or downloaded (free) for caravans , motorhomes camper-trailers and campervans. www.caravancouncil.com.au/

In that neck of the woods, Plainland, My thoughts would be to head to beautiful small township of Toogoolawah. They have Areo Club where people jump out of perfectly good planes but also have a great welcoming showground camping.
We use it on the way home to get our car and caravan in order to park it in our limited space at home.
