Everything has a weight Digger, but I see by your comment that you think it's a good deal, I for one won't stop you so go for it. It's an effective but expensive way to learn though.

Yeah, I dont have big Enough kahunas to slap down that sort of money for a sham. Hence why asking if anyone had experience with that companies products.

I would also look at the continuous discharge rate.
The Outbax ones show a max rate of 50 amps, so 600 watts, and the Itech ones show 150 amps, or 1800 watts. A big difference and a big difference in what can be run.
As for Itech I would also say that they have had issues in the past with their products, so beware as well.
Those comments are made without personal experience of either company or their products.
And, as much as some may dispute it, in general terms, you get what you pay for, and if something seems to good to be true, they generally are.

The 9.5kg battery has a volume of 12.34 litres = 0.77kg/litre.
A Victron 100ah 15kg battery has a volume of 9.61 litres = 1.56kg/litre.
Why is this cheap battery half the density? The battery per litre weighs less than water so there can only be a fair bit of air in the casing. No other logical reasoning!

There are Prismatic and cylindrical cells and mass per kWh are quite different - but nowhere near enough to explain that sort of difference.

Battleborn batteries, THE drop in battery in the USA with 10 year warranty, weighs 14kg for 100Ah usable

Chinese Prismatic Cells 105Ah weighs just under 2kg, so 4 cells is 8kg, bms is almost no weight and a case needn't weigh much, so maybe this offering is reasonably legit.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge guys. Im going to rule out the Outbax batteries. I cant afford to take the risk. Does anyone have Quality reasonably priced LiFePo4 batteries?

Your Lithium battery only has 12 months guarantee, where my normal battery has 40 months guarantee, so if Lithium so great, why such a short guatantee period ? Hmm

Hi
I have no direct experience but some people have recommended this place. I have used them for panels in the past but no other connection They give a 5 year guarantee.
I think Enerdrive have a 3 year replacement warranty, plus another 2 year repair or pro rata on their batteries.

I fail to see how their batteries are any better price wise or weight wise?

Hi Kebbin
I did not claim either of those attributes ? So probably that is why you cannot see it ! What I did say is some people, (that I have seen writing on other forums), have recommended that seller and they give a 5 year guarantee. I claim nothing more or less than that.
Indeed I have not done a full information search as i am not buying them. But when i trawl around some forums and I see credible recommendations of interest, I book mark them for my future use.

Has anyone any experience with Outbax.com.au? They have what seems like a great deal for lithium batteries.
im very tempted to pull the trigger as the advantages seem great.

At 9.5kg they are too light, should be about 16kg. Something is missing there!
Absolutely! My 90ah batteries weigh 16kg each.Cheers
I looked up the Victron 90ah & they are 16kg.
Seems that lithium batteries might have come down in weight fellas.
Itechworld (Reasonably well known brand, who advertise in CMCA Wanderer) have a 105aH LiFePo4 battery that weighs 12kg?
