If I go on an extended trip in Australia frequently staying at different addresses do I need to inform my insurance company about the change of address?
Thanks in advance,

When we insured our car and van we informed at the time we would be travelling round Oz, and both had to be insured accordingly

The answer should will be in the product disclosure details of the policy which you would have a copy of.

We travelled often overseas for several months at a time. You need to inform your insurer if you are going to be away from your house longer than X days. X will vary according to your policy.

I think you have been given 3 answers
1 Re Home insurance
1 Re Vehicle/van insurance
1. Check with your insurance company/policy.
The last is best.
If Home insurance - varies from company to company - some are rigid & 60 days absence is a common threshold. Some will not extend this, some will if you ask & some will charge you extra. If you have someone who can visit your home & stay overnight on a weekly basis it will help many insurance companies to feel ok about your absence.
If Vehicle/van insurance - most likely ok ... but ask.
