A few years ago I noticed a product which I think was call Blue Sky boats.
The boat was a sort of a roof top pod. The base of the pod stayed in the roof rack and then unclip the top of the pod /boat to remove the boat. The boat / pod also once locked in place also allowed one to store equipment away from the elements.
Boats small suitable for rivers and lakes,
I have googled and tried Gumtree without any luck.

Spot on. This is the boat that I was referring to. I thought that it was called Blue Sky.
But like you, upon checking out all the sites on Clear Sky boats on Google, it appears that the web site has shut down.
I think that the company no longer exits.
The video I saw some time ago, indicated to me that this product was the one I was after.
But slack me, did not follow up at the time.
I will try the phone No. But I do not hold out for much success.
This is what this forum is all about, helping one an other.

Look up their ABN number & get the address of the company & write a letter. You never know they may have one in a garage & they may part with it with some cash.

Before I bought my tinny i looked at most of the lighter options and one of them was a guy up near Ipswich who had a mould for a lightweight fiberglass rooftop boat on a pod or rooftop tent .Google up rooftop tent boat combo and you might find something similar chedrs
