Thats a good outcome for the owners but as the article states the company has no way of paying they are bankrupt.

AIUI, the claimants will be paid from a claim fund.
"But after the ABC's story she and other former customers lodged claims with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
OFT runs a claim fund which helps consumers recover losses from motor dealers if they can prove, on the balance of probability, that a breach of the law occurred.
Claims are treated as a civil matter and a payment of a claim is not evidence of a breach of legislation.
The ABC can reveal OFT investigated the claims and found in favour of nine people, including Ms Stephensen, awarding almost $700,000 in compensation between them."

A good article Dorian, so thanks for putting it up
I think that (at the moment), the money is coming from the funds of the, Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT)
I was unaware that there was such a fund, perhaps others can enlighten us all
Edit to say "opps"
