Unfortunately bug zappers will not attract and kill mosquitoes or biting midges/sandflies as they are not attracted by light.
Good Luck.

We use an auto insect sprayer from Aldi up at Rainbow Beach due to many midgies. Set for squirt ever 45 seconds in the late afternoon and a Smokey fire with green gum leaves and that works well. Cheers Stewart.

We have fly swats, spray, coils, head nets & full screen enclosure floor & ceiling.
Screen enclosure works best & fly swats within an enclosed space, sometimes with the head net on until the all clear.
We have had 6 coils going & they were fundamentally useless.
Sandflys will drink repellent & take off quickly!
In the top end you need a bigger fly swat, especially in Kakudu & you have to be inside before dusk, there is no option. You need to tie down the enclosure or the 100+ million mosquitoes will lift up the enclosure!

This is a Gecko. Solar or USB charge. So far so good. Around $50. I have been able to have the door open with security screen closed with TV going at night and no bugs sneaking in as before.
You can actually see the bugs on it. It got cleaned just after taking pic. That's easy too.

Hi
The new ultrasound wristband for deterring mozzies and midgie and flys which is also a watch has been getting good reviews and cheap around 50.00 if it works the days of spray ons will be numbered

We do have a zapper which you can charge for when off grid but when in certain places the moths and little bugs can be overwhealming so we retreat to the van and use the Dyson vacuum to suck them up so need for using those deadly sprays

If there is a fly landed at night inside. Gradually move closer with a LED torch on low. As soon as it is trapped in the head on the torch up against the surface. Turn the torch to maximum. 30 seconds later it is cooked.
