I read an article listed on the Bribie Island and Sandstone Point facebook page. See below:-
"Hello,
My name is Adam Nesbitt and my wife and I own a small cafe in Warwick QLD. Last week my wife made the grim discovery that some disgusting individual had emptied their caravan toilet cassette into our cleaning sink at the rear of our shop and left it for us to clean up. Unbeknown to him his every move was caught by our security camera. I was wondering if you wouldnt mind sharing this with your community along with the photos from our camera in the hope of someone recognising him and coming forward with information so we can put our local police in touch with him."
I have attempted to copy the address as below, not sure if it will work. This is down right disgusting. As if people in small businesses are not suffering enough!!!!!
I have copied this picture, I dont think the address I copied is working.

My sympathies to Adam and his wife, but we can only hope that somebody recognises this lowlife, and dobs him in.Emptying the contents of your toilet into the bush without burying them is bad enough, but using someone's cleaning sink as a disposal site has to be as low as you can go? Good luck with finding this idiot.Cheers.

This is fairly old news from about 2 weeks ago. It's been reported that he's been traced and spoken to - apparently he has mental issues, but that's still no excuse for this sort of behaviour.

Some people are just plain stupid or ignorant too, I was staying at the BIG4 in Bowen and a bloke just pulled into the vacant site next door an proceeded to tip his cassette down the tap drain on that site, it was about 8 metres from my door. I called out to him and told him that it was not a 'dump point', he looked surprised and said he didn't know that, I pointed out the DUMP POINT which was 50 metres down the road and quite visible and clearly marked. He said he didn't see it, even though he drove his campervan straight past it, he was obviously a tourist with an English accent, but that is NO EXCUSE. Some people are just stupid and surely the least you would do, is ASK somebody

Morning Wizard. You said "NO EXCUSE" but you made and excuse mate. NO EXCUSE They are disgusting mongrels. I remember at Green'S Lake Nth Central VIC many moons back someone always had a go at people emptying toot canister's anywhere but were caught out emptying theirs over a wire fence. NO EXCUSE.
They were the days before the Dump Point was set up.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Very little in this area of human behaviour surprises me any longer.
"He has mental issues" -- don't they all? He probably had a difficult childhood too....

It disappoints me that sections of the community and therefore this forum, assume without any evidence, that this fellows mental illness is either a factor he is using as an excuse to do the act or "mental illness" is a term people see as someone that is an idiot.
So please, as a volunteer for a major mental health organisation this fellows might well possess a serious mental illness that results in carrying out this disgusting act. If so he needs help not treatment akin to throwing rotten tomatoes at him.
If he is mentally aware of how wrong this act is then he has insight. Having insight with your own mental illness means you're one of the lucky ones. In this case his awareness of wrong doing should lead to prosecution- but we don't know.
Thankfully a higher percentage of young Australians is less likely to ridicule those with mental struggles than the current elderly generation that seems to reflect mental illness as a choice and tag them as such. Shame on those couple of comments above that reflect that poor attitude.
I might remind you all that the annual suicide rate far out numbers the national road toll.

Hi eaglemax ,we have a son with autism so i can understand where your coming from BUT if this grub has the mental capacity to gain a drivers licence to be driving his camper he would surely have the mental capacity to know what he did was wrong .

Fair enough outlaw, but at this stage I haven't read if he drives or is driven.

If he was driven then the driver should have/would have known what he was doing so there are no excuses , he or them are grubs end of story.

Yep, some have over stepped the mark alright. I mean a fellow emptying a load of excreta, along with its obvious smell. Would have no idea that it is wrong to do so.
Interestingly he didn't make the same move in the van he reside in did he. He didn't just pour it into the boot of his truck did he.
Nope he had the where-with all to find an unattended business to do it in. I mean he could have reasoned that simply emptying it onto a road side would suffice could he not. and disgusting as that would be, it could not match the joy in his Hawaiian shirof emptying it down a trough.
How about the sympathy going to the poor basted who comes out, and has to clean up the mess. I reckon there may be just a smidgen of mental angst there to compete with that idiots don' you think?
Can't you see it takes a fair amount of mental acuity and sneakiness to do what he did?

*Far* too many people these days use the excuse of "mental illness" in an attempt to legitimise appalling behaviour. Take a look at DSM5 and then tell me all those pseudo "illnesses" are real. Although a diagnosis of such does enable drug companies to sell product.
I'm receptive to real mental illness but not to people who believe; "The world isn't revolving around me so I'm going to make everyone else suffer until it does".

A few member here that select what they like to criticise. You ignore the part of my post-
" In this case his awareness of wrong doing should lead to prosecution- but we don't know"
Based on that all your arguments are hot air.

Tony it is a disgusting act which ever way you look at it and to do something like this not only to people trying to make a living but during Covid is reprehensible. You are being critical of others and forgive me but do you have any actual facts?

Nobody does, beyond the video showing what happened, which nobody thinks was in any way ok. A sink is not a receptacle for wee and poo, full stop.
Remarks about somebody's mental health and that having "mental issues"(whatever that is supposed to mean) is automatically something to criticize somebody for is another thing altogether.
Can we stick to what actually happened, and stop the negative remarks about health issues? We don't know what (if anything) is wrong with this guy or if he does have an "issue" whether it contributed at all to the conduct. There's really nothing left to say, nobody thinks putting effluent in a sink (somebody else's sink, to boot) is acceptable. IF there's something awry with the bloke who did it, we don't know any detail (or the qualifications) to be able to comment. Vilifying all people with mental health disorders or saying that people make up mental disorders is not appropriate.
We're talking about this one bloke and we're talking about this one bloke's conduct, not his "problems" (about which we know absolutely nothing).

My gut feeling, (without any medical training), is that:-
If any person can not mentally realise, the difference between a sink, and a dump point, then:-
They should not be driving, (and if not driving), should not be told/asked to empty the cassette toilet

The Poor Guy may have just been confused after encountering a range of the 'humorous' dump points that you come across.
On our last trip we, sorry ... I, came across such a range of DIY dump points that I resorted to taking photos of them.
eg. At Longreach the dump point was in fact a wheely bin, housing the waste pipe & filled with concrete.
At Emerald, on the lake, there was a common toilet suite concreted into a wall of rock sitting out in the open up against a shed wall.
Perhaps the culprit was confused by this sort of thing or perhaps he was just a dumb @#$%. LOL
I think the latter, but then there are a lot of dummies out there in caravans. Present company excluded .. of course LOL
