A olden time small craft item handsewn with fabric scraps & hung in cupboards.A soap & soap scraps holder recycles unwanted soaps still with their perfumes that lasts for years..And why waste the fragrances of Washing Powder- put in tissues & rubber band to add satchets to hanger until used.Fabric glue can be used around fabric outsides then sewn & decorated.

Great idea Gypsie Cat. Good way to use up all those left over bits of soap.

We always place new/unused soaps in drawers with clothes - it allows soap to harden up a bit and last longer when using - Old grandmother trick.

My father use to buy half a dozen bars of Lifeboy soap and put them in a string bag which was hung, semi protected, from a nail on the outside of the shed in order for them to harden and therefore last longer. Money was very tight and no doubt the trick saved a few pennies - thank Goodness most no longer have to do such things.

And when your clothes come out of your hanging shelves-- smells beautiful
