Hi all, I have previously vanned for about 15 years and then bought a Sunliner motorhome. I had it 4-5 years and now am returning to caravanning. I have just recently purchased a MY 21 D.MAx and am awaiting the delivery of our new Option Rv Distinction in a few weeks . It is a similar size to our last van being 19'6". It is a mine field out there for Caravan insurance but my enquiry today relates to " Caravan Roadside Assistance'. I have always had RACQ even when we had the motorhome but it was only as a member so it was only about $75 to stay as a member. It was easy with the motorhome as Roadside Assistance covered all as it was one vehicle. I know what the "Ultimate ' covers with Racq but there are still unknowns with that as far as towing of the van. It appears to relate moreso to the tow vehicle breakdown and not should the issue be that just the van requires towing. On reading the PDF it seems to say that should the van need to be put on a trayback there are certain senarious relating to length, weight, height etc. Also if the van exceeds some of these then if a trayback is not available to cater for the van racq will arrange a truck to suit but " MAY BE AT YOUR EXPENSE". Now the reason for my post is " has any vanners had any experience with a business that offers just either or both roadside assistance on the vehicle or the Caravan alone. The company my enquiry relates to is " NATIONAL ROADSERVICE AUSTRALIA" I had until now not known anything in regard to their offer and service they provide. If any feedback on their offered product could be forthcoming that would be much appreciated. Or even information on any other provider offering reasonable cover on the van alone. I apologise for the length of this post but felt I needed to explain all details relevant to my post. Cheers
