I am still doing the reasearch on the new Mobile home.
I am leaning towards a new Jayco motorhome at this stage, and i am trying to guestimate the potential future on road costs.
What are the best options that you guys are using for a comprehensive insurance policy?
I have the rego, and on road costs sorted, but insurance can vary a fair bit.
I do not own a car, only a bike, but i do still have a rating one discount.
Which companies are the most popular?
Many thanks

I would not choose on the basis of "popularity".
You need to contact them and get a copy of the terms and conditions.
I am using Ken Tame who is a specialist motorhome insurer. You need to be a member of the CMCA. There are others as well.
Premium will depend largely on the value of the motorhome and where you live. Dollar for dollar motorhomes are generally cheaper to insure than caravans.
Cheers,
Peter

CIL for me About $1300 for $135000 cover. This also gives a breakdown towing for about 250k Not a lot but better than nothing Avida club offers insurance and it doesn't have to be a Avida MH but you need to join club

That figure is what i put in the spread sheet, so i wasn't too far off.
The motorhome is priced at around 200K so i guess it will vary a bit.

It's not what you will pay but what they will pay. Not all policies are the same.

They do demand a fair amount of security. The MH should be in a lockup shed or behind locked gates. If not they want security alarm and GPS tracker installed. Most companies are going this way now as caravan and MH theft increases

There will be no garage, i will be living in it full time.
GPS tracker is not a problem, i have one on my bike already.
I must check with Jayco, and see if a 200k motorhome has a security alarm as standard?

Consider WFI. I have it. Pretty good price and good cover, but not as good as top cover insurance. Price went down $130 this year, I joke not.
Its a risk assessment in the end.
Jayco, that's another risk assessment.

There is a new Jayco Optimum coming out later this year, they are stopping the Conquest range.
I am looking into buying one of the 25 ft motorhomes.
Not cheap at $200k, but perfect for what i am looking for.
