I figure V6 ? Yes great !! Trans cooler and KEEP changing the engines oil !! A lower final drive ratio ( higher number numerically). Helps big time with torque and surprisingly fuel consumption. We fitted a ute final drive ratio . Made a big difference .

As Graeme suggests,it MAY manage, but there are limitations, depending on year of manufacture.Up to 2018 the towing capacity was 2100kg,with 210kg kg towball weight limit, but after 2018 towing capacity drops to 1800kg.And you MUST check which towbar is fitted,as many towbars were rated at only 1200kg.Another complication is that if the VF series 2 has a manual transmission, towing capacity is limited to 1600kg,I believe. And if safety is of ANY concern,I would suggest that 2000kg is an absolute maximum fot that car.Good luck with your research.Cheers
A good choice. What are the p Roy's of the large v6? Serpentine belt can be changed in less that 2 minutes, easy parts find and proven. I picked this off another site
"The VFII Holden Commodore (automatic) can tow up to 2100kg (but only the 3.6 V6 and 6.2 V8, not the 3.0 V6), with 210kg on the ball. But not all buyers want to tow such a weight some might just want to tow a small box trailer. Therefore, Holden offers a 1200kg and 1600kg towbar, as well as 2100kg towbar. Too bad if the dealer fits the 1200kg bar when you want to tow your 1800kg single-axle van"
I run the original Buick v6 engine tgat Holden fuel injected.

VF has the alloy tech V6 .They had valve train issues big time !! Timing chains are very weak !! Why servicing is important !! Fine oil galleries block up !!

I've had 2 commodores with Alloytec engines. the first was a VZ with 260000 km on it. Was serviced when it was suppose to, never had an issue. I know all the specifications of the VF, just after info if anybody has towed 2 tonne with it, and yes it's a V6 auto.
