Well, i have done it! I have just put the deposit on a new caravan.
I have ordered a new Crusader Excalibur Prince.
I have added a few extras from the standard build, and have been told the delivery date is approx June 2022.
My aim is to be retired and on the road full time in or around September 2022, so the time frame is looking perfect.
At this moment in time it is just for me, but who knows?
The company is moving to a brand new building which will enable them to double production they say, so i am not expecting a blow out in delivery time.
Next step is to order the prime mover, or the tug as some people call it.
That will be an Iveco Daily E6 van, again it will be with a few extras added on during the build.
They are made in Turin, and if i order next month, the expected delivery date is Feb 2022.
So the grey Nomad dream is one step closer to reality.
WOOHOO.

If February registration is not the best date for you:
When we last got our new car it had a crap registration date for us as we often travel to Europe, as it had already been registered. We paid a deposit & got the dealer to store the car. Then deregister the car, do a blue slip to re-register the car with the date we wanted. The car is in storage at the dealer until that new date.

The delivery dates are perfect, they were not chosen randomly.
4 months of research, and things are going to plan....up to now.
Things may change next year and i will be living in one spot for a while, who knows?

How! Graham,
I hope you have a good quality Sword to go with your new Excalibur? You already will have a good suit of Armour, being the Aluminium Tent.
Enjoy but,
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

as was pointed out by MONTIE in another thread beware of the small print in your contract, in regard to price rises in the final price at delivery

Welcome to GN's Col/Firepac.
You have tagged on to the bottom of an unrelated posting but; Toyota Camry would have difficulty towing anything larger that a A Van Sportliner, or is that what you are seeking?
