Yes, her *gung ho* attitude in accepting the endless supply of Covid infected overseas travellers in her support for our Prime Minister has now bit her on the rear end.
Even a half wit would realise that while you keep bringing infected people into our country without adequate quarantine would only end in tears.
Don't tell me for one minute that the cost to our country from what is now happening is less than stopping the self entitled malingerers and those who, all of a sudden, need to come *back* to Australia is worth this cost to our businesses let alone our mental well being of the 25 million Aussies that were relying on our collective governments to protect us all.
FFS we are an island, it was not that hard.
Our leaders bowed and scraped to the the likes of Alan Joyce who cried poor mouth while, at the same time they were laying off staff without even considering national internal profits by keeping our country safe and operating within Australia without involving overseas arrivals.
QANTAS.
Queeensland and Northern Territory Air Service, if I am not wrong.
460 odd new infected people today in NSW and it will probably only get worse.
Lets hope we dont miss the last opportunity to lock everything down now so we can get on top of it. Being a *soft ***** just does not work. These people have Australia on a path to destruction for no reason than by their selfish attitude.
We just completed a Census in Australia but I was disappointed as to why we weren't asked do we want the federal people in control to continue importing Covid infected people into Australia.
I throw my hands up in total despair.

Every day my blood boils when I think about that limo driver and the NSW government's mishandling of subsequent damage control. What makes me even angrier is that people are still travelling for dubious "essential" and "compassionate" reasons. Suck it up and stay at home.

Yesterday I did my daily walk along the Lake Macquarie foreshore at Warners Bay, I really thought that we would have more sense than those "idiots" in Sydney when it came to following the lockdown rules - obviously not. The number of people who were not complying by picnicing in the parks, camping on the shore with their jet skis and kayaks, boat ramps so full you couldn,t get another car or boat trailer in the place. people stopping and talking in groups without wearing masks, fast food, ice cream and cofee vendors set up in carparks causing line ups. The number plates and signage I saw on vehicles etc. suggested that many of them did not live within a 30km radius of the place. What really amases me is how the police who reguarly patrol along that foreshore can turn a blind eye to obvious breaches like dozens of cars and throngs of people gathered at the boat ramps or the more than 50 kids and young families hanging around the new skate park at Croudace Bay... maybe its all just becoming a little bit too hard for them to police..We can complain all we like about the governments failings or what someone else did to trigger this outbreak but from what I'm seeing we are our own worst enemy when it comes to trying to limit its spread..

My relatives are in England & other half in Germany. She goes to Europe very regularly, me less so. Last time in 2019 she flew into Perth & I drove from Sydney to pick her up & we drove back via the Great Central Road. I was in Tasmania in March 2019 seeing another branch of my family.
Both our relatives have got the vaccines they requested.
Neighbours in our block of units with their 3 & 1 year olds got a flight out of Sydney a week ago to see their relatives in the USA. They are planning to return in January 2022.
They said they had no issues getting the approvals. I have known them for a decade. They have let their rented unit on Airbnb. Already there has been two sets of holiday rentals. We own three units in our building & are stuck at home!
It is interesting seeing both sides of the coin . Half of us can't fart & the other half can let rip.
2020 did <800km, 2021 <300km. We have stopped spending & walk everywhere to avoid people as best we can.

This really cant get much worse,
I just hear on the news this morning that Gladys didn't even have the decency or respect for her people to announce the full lockdown on a media conference.
She reportedly announced it on *Twiiter and Facebook*
It is sad state when any government communicates with its constituents on social media as the sole supply of updates to policy.
The police are out there policing the rules and half the people aren't aware of the changes. This type of action all helps to support the people who wont stay home as they are denying the knowledge of the new rules.
I also note that Anna P has once again requested for the border to be moved to the Tweed River to facilitate easier movement for the border population. Gladys ignored her last year when the same was requested. Lets see what happens this time.
She should be ashamed of herself.

And if you think 80% will set us free have a look at Israel. The fact is we need to look at this differently. In the first place (ie in March 2020) the issue was not enough beds and or ventilators for the sick. Now its all about the number who have caught the disease, the number of exposure sites, and finally the number of deaths. It is quite clear that 80% will not work. Even England has over 15K cases a day. The real issue is that we need to make sure that the vulnerable are protected, that the number of really sick have access to a hospital bed, and start to report deaths based on did they die of Covid or did they die because of Covid. Ie was Covid the final straw that tipped the person over the line. A cousin of mine died and it was reported it was Covid. In reality he had Cancer for over 2 years and it was rapidly progressing and he was also in his late 80's. Did he die of Covid as reported or because of Covid. These are the things we need to really know. Elderly still die of the flu but in 2020 and 2021 there has been a great reduction. Is that because we wear masks? Is it because we are all locked up? I dont know but I am almost convinced we will have to live with Covid for some time until we can get a vaccine that can eradicate it completely, rather than to try and suppress it.

Thats easy to say when you have a small population and no where near the travel requirements of Vic and NSW. Being isolated from the Eastern seaboard has been a huge help.. I seriously doubt that the 80% figure bandied about will not suffice if we want to try and get back to normal

Thats easy to say when you have a small population and no where near the travel requirements of Vic and NSW. bEING ISOLATED BY DISTANCE IS A HUGE HELP AS WELL.
When this pandemic started we, as a country were isolated from the rest of the world by an ocean or two.
Did those in control take advantage of that?
No!
We had to bow and scrape to those that have insisted for the last 17 months that despite being told to come home, have not done so until the country that they were living in became overrun and overwhelmed as far as treatment and control has been concerned.
We had to endure political bun fights from both sides with each representative needing to get one up on their opposition on how good they were with contact tracing and leaving states open in the face of ever increasing numbers of the infected.
Now we are in a situation where 8 million people are in some form of lockdown and as I said above the financial and mental burden can not really be measured.
Don't start me on A Jo_yce and his company.
I wonder if the six thousand employees that he sacked might have been willing to check appropriate permits..
Maybe Mr Jo_yce wouldn't mind a crew of soldiers on each of his aircraft checking everyones credentials for safe travel.
The place to control the pandemic in Australia was at the international borders, not out in the community.
There is not one other country in the world that has been able to achieve results by flooding their respective countries with infected travellers.

Correct whenarewethere, And the eastern states will be financially stuffed well and truly if we in WA cannot continue our mining activities and keeping the East from going broke .
As we are currently doing. Along with our over contribution of GST.

Not many people know that Mark McGowan, was born and raised in Newcastle NSW.
He went to public schools in NSW, and then went to a university in QLD, long before he came to WA
