I was talking with friends this week and they were telling me about their recent trip from North Queensland back to Victoria via the NT& SA. They were traveling with friends who they were going to meet at Mt Isa. Unfortunately their friends rolled their car and van outside Barcaldine just before dark and the tow truck could not pick up the wreckage till the next morning. Fortunately they were not badly injured. When the tow truck arrived all of their possessions were stolen including some of their clothes. The tow truck driver said it was generally the grey nomads who did the stealing. Sad that some of us stoop to that level.

A generalisation by the tow truck driver at best. Doubt there are many reading these pages that travel after dark or brazen enough to ransack a van by the roadside in the morning when other nomads are passing.

Do you believe everything that your told its more than likely the tow truck driver stooping to such a low act.
I very much doubt that grey nomads or many travellers would steal off an accident site ,maybe you should not post comments on this forum as it is primarily a grey nomad site
Cheers

As my wife was a cleaner in a caravan park she can vouch for plenty of grey nomads stealing stuff from the park!! Caught quite a few red handed knocking off dunny rolls, kitchen utensils and items from the fridges. A certain percentage are indeed thieving mongrels.
