Weve just returned to Perth from a month in the Kimberley and have managed to get another five weeks from mid October. So were after some suggestions for destinations etc for a five week trip starting and ending Perth.

Do the Goldfields circuit, visit all the old ghost towns and mining towns, well worth it, but can be done in under 5 weeks.
Coolgardie, Kalgoorlie, Broad Arrow, Ora Banda, Menzies, Lake Ballard, Niagara Dam, Kookynie, Gwalia, Leonora, Leinster, Wiluna, Sandstone, Mount Magnet, Cue, Big Bell, Yalgoo, Paynes Find.......etc
Cheers Bob

No need to rub it in.
Trips are very short in my 120 hectare lockdown suburb. I have walked every street in a day.
But I am grateful as there is a cemetery where I can do Covid preparations!

Recently travelled through a lot of those places on our way home, lovely country with quite a few woldflowers blooming. You could spend a few weeks wandering around without any problem, go for it you won't be dissappointed

The Broad Arrow will make you the best bacon and egg roll you ever had plus you can stay over night there for nix. Thousands of peoples signatures on the walls, lampshades etc...

Hi that would be the perfect time to head towards Kalgoorlie then head south to Esperance and do the southwest coast to Augusta,Margaret river while backpacker numbers are low .Thats some of the best scenic touring in this fine land and easily achievable in that time frame.
Cheers

We are in Nungarin and spending a few weeks in this area. Heaps to see in this district, Bencubin , beacon, Muckabudin , Westonia, Tranying .
Every little town has interesting individual places of interest including the huge Army display in Nungarin could easily spend a day there . Then theres great free camps at various granite outcrops or very cheap shire camp site for power and water . The locals are happy with all the travelers here, many first timers thanks to covid .

Must say the Westonia museum is really great. Especially those wooden display cabinets they acquired from the Perth Mint when it was refurbished.

Try the GRANITE OUTCROPS RESERVES.
Very picturesque, interesting, good camping, and easy driving.
We (a group of friends) just spent 3 weeks doing some of them spending two days at each camp or caravan park.
