I have bought a little JPod Outback and am on a steep learning curve. I have travelled and camped lots in the past but solo camping is a whole new adventure. So I am excited to have found this site. It takes me feel less alone. I would like to attach a photo to my posts as I see others have done, but can't see how. I tried to up-load an 'avatar' ??? but, although the message indicates success, nothing seems to have happened.

Mike has provided great instruction for adding a pic in a post, but just ensure you have selected *advanced editor* at the bottom of the text area.
Advanced editor opens a variety of other posting options as well.
Hope this helps

Welcome to the gang Chris, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Make sure the file size is not too big as the forum doesn't like big files.
Keep Safe in the roads and out there.

Welcome to GN's Chris, I hope you are able to manage the uploading of pics. - Let's face it it is going to be a long time for us in the Eastern States, to see your little J Pod, in the flesh so to speak.
The site has some very interesting nooks and crannies, that I'm sure you will discover and enjoy.

Welcome Chris. It will be intresting to hear your thoughts on the jpod down the track a bit. I was looking at them just recently. Hope you enjoy your new freedom!

Thaks for your help all. So far I have done several short camps and am loving the pod. It has a couple of small things that need fixing before I take off over the Nullabor in Dec. But I have had Jaycos in the past so I was expecting that. they are well designed but I replaced the awning and the annex with ones that I can manage by myself.

A warm welcome from me also, ChrisE
I have seen plenty of solo females, on my travels
I mainly free camp, when part time travelling
I can assure you, that there are more decent men, than than the other type, around
Until Covid came along, I used to talk to the people nearest to my rig, as a bit of campsite (Neighbourhood) watch
It looks like you already learned how to put up an Avatar, and pictures
Hope that there are many happy road trips ahead of you

G'day Chris,
Again welcome to the GN forum - there's lots of help in the pages past. The Search tabs can draw some of it out. Also have a look at the other sections of this site - if you're a bit down there's some humour to brighten you up . And there's some good tucker in there as well. Note with the Techies' tab - there are two split offs - solar & weights.
Some of the group are technical experts, some are novices - if you need help that you can't find elsewhere, just drop a line.
As your little rig is a combination caravan - camper outfit, there's another group that may interest you too. Google Campertrailers.org - again there's a lot of info to be found.

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum :)
To upload a photo and embed it in the text area of your message:
Click "Attach File(s)"
Select the image file from your computer hard drive
Click "[Insert]"
Click "OK"
Job done, see below as an example - just the smallest jpg I had. Please edit image size before uploading, anything over about 500kB is too big.
With the avatar; it looks like you have successfully uploaded one but iirc you have press a button which says something like "Use avatar"?
Mike has provided great instruction for adding a pic in a post, but just ensure you have selected *advanced editor* at the bottom of the text area.
