Can someone please advise me what the switch near the door is for? Do I leave it on or off? Also, is there a battery charger and if so, where is that located? Thank you.

Monita, Welcome to GN's - Unfortunately every caravan is different and has differing wiring. It is usual for caravans to have an isolating switch near entrance/door - this is to ensure no appliances, etc can be left running whilst towing.

If you put a photo up of the unit, and its position it may help.
Otherwise, you may be able to isolate its use by starting with it off, and trying to switch on other things as you go to see if they work. I would start by trying all 12 volt items, just in case it is the isolating switch.
Dont know about battery charger, but it may be something like Jayco use, which is part of the 12 volt step down Setec unit. That is a black box with fuse panel in it that you may see in a bench unit.

Nova puts the isolating switch just inside the door, it shuts all power off the van including lights, so if you turn that switch off when leaving the van, it turns everything off, so when re entering, if you turn that back on, all the lights that were on will turn back on, so no need to turn each light on again, some appliances may come back on too, but most switch off automatically...it is not only a safety switch, it saves turning the lights back on individually.

Yeah, isolation switch, mate had the Revivor, I had the Vita.
Current van I leave it on even when travelling. Turn it off only when putting it in storage. Sola charges and no leakage.
