I have seen other combined boat/caravans before but this is the first of this particular one. I remember that there was one made in Australia that is sometimes seen around.
Looks good - and there is an Australian agent. Pity it is well out of my price range so I'll have to stick with our old Jayco Sterling.

Murray
I recently met a fellow who has owned the first carraboat built in lemon tree passage not far from me .He invited me in and I was very impressed with the space inside much more room than a caravan .The boat will also cruise at up to 20 knots and able to be used in open water in reasonable conditions and seeing that I love boats it would be great to use on the Murray The Hawkesbury and many more places but at 150000 for the 7.5 m I might have to save up some more
Cheers

I also saw them when living around Nelson Bay. then heard that they are built locally in Lemon Tree Passage.

Have seen them or similar here in Hervey Bay, mind you they were probably unknowingly travelling too close to the reefs near Little Woody.

Realistically, $150K for a reliable, well made 25ft caravan is not over the top - Just sayin'.

Nice. I might trade in the aluminium teepee for one of those.

Hi, I have a few friends with Caraboats , they will float in 8'' of water. I have a Boat a home, similar boat made on the sunshine coast. Works great as a caravan with a deck out the back, can sit 4 on the roof under the bimini top, or under the awning. Towed it to SA from qld and then spent a few weeks going down the Murray. Free camping all the way.
Stopping at all the towns along the river, just nudge into the bank in the parks in the middle of town and throw out the anchor.
Have been out on Hervey bay whale watching 3 caraboats and 4 boat a homes last time.
Friends with a boat a home have gone around aus and also to tasie with their boat so quite flexible.
regards Russell

Looking up Caraboat on a YouTube, shows a room a midships on the port side with a toilet, shower bathroom combo. Boatahome has similar.
Nice more aerodynamic front than most caravans too.

Thanks for that.
In general I've noticed that not many caravan/(boat) websites show floor plans. Surely that's the first thing a potential purchaser wants to see?

The only real issue I can see is getting in and out of them while on a trailer for someone with dodgy knees. Otherwise a great idea!

Getting up/in is easy, 6 steps up the front built into the trailer and step inside the boat a home. The caraboat you enter from the back 2 or 3 steps from memory.
