Conflicting information about requirements of van parks regarding acceptance of
non vacc patrons.
Since parks are outdoors accom, maybe they are not required to enforce a vacc certificate,
but I see that sporting events certificates are mandatory, and they are certainly outdoors.

Where I am they can't stop those not vaccinated however, those not can't use the facilities. Doesn't make sense but what does I spose. There is no way known to man kind that can be policed. Ooops, that should read 'person kind'.
I take precautions when using things around the park and sanitize all the time and don't mix much. I don't ignore anyone just don't get close.
So far so good.
I think that is the way of life now, take precautions and be careful. I have just booked in for the Booster.
Keep safe out there everyone.

My preference is that all Camping and Accommodation venues enforce no-vaccine-no entry rulings - Sorry grow up and do the right thing or don't utilise services used by Elderly/Frail/Compromised.
Unless venues are strictly enforcing no jab, no entry - I will not patronise the venue.

Well, I recen tly helped a family, whom were camping near me, just before Xmas, offered him access to my power at home, he intermingled with me and my wife whom is immunocomprimised, and was told that in advance. After close contact was made, 2 days later, he informed me he wasn't vaxed, nor was his wife, I stated to him, you know my wife is immunocomprimised, and you interacted with her closely, why didn't you tell us, his excuse, is it is nobody's else's right to know. This is after we showed kindness, and helped him out as they are homeless. He has not been signing in or wearing masks, he doesn't believe in them, he also doesn't intend to vax his 5 yo son, and this guy and his wife, have had covid, in the early days.. What right have they got in putting us in danger, he was made unemployed due to not being vaxed, and doesn't intend to get vaxed, but think's it is grossly unfair that he can't get a job, because he needs to be vaxed to get one. I think it is unfair on his part putting us all in danger.

It is a mute point here in Vic, and I think NSW, vaccination certificates are only required to be shown at sporting venues, pubs, restaurants etc. QR codes are still required, that is if anyone bothers anymore. Unless the caravan park specifically requires vacc certificates it is pretty much open slather.

Not much thought yet again from governments when opening Australias population to a world wide pandemic.
Caravan parks may be classified as outdoor areas which is arguable but how about the sharing of camp kitchens and appliances and the sharing of bathroom and toilet amenities. How about the other common areas such as an office or a shop within the park.
We have dropped the ball by not enforcing vaccinations wherever one may want to go within Australia and by not keeping international borders closed until more positive treatments become available to us all..
Bicyclecamper emphasises the point of peoples RIGHT not to vax or to wear masks and abide by other rules but I am amazed that the other words beginning with
*R* are completely ignored by these Cretans.
What happened to RESPECT for others and RESPONSIBILITY for the harm that they may cause to others.
Selfish people who really do not deserve a spot here on earth.

Seems like there are a lot of scared Grey Nomads out there who are double vaxxed and boost vaxxed.
With over 90% of Australia fully vaxxed why would you be so concerned about the unvaxxed.
I got vaxxed so I can live a relaxed lifestyle not worrying about who is vaxxed.

While I would prefer all people to be vaccinated, their choice to get or not get vaccinated is not my major concern. Vaccination is going to reduce the illness in those that are vaccinated, and if some people can't see the benefit to themselves in that then fine. Sometimes you just can' help people.
I am more concerned with the decision by some to not wear masks. The mask is not to prevent yourself getting infected, it is more to prevent you infecting others. I would be much happier if the Government was more explicit and forceful on the wearing of masks. I would like to see them being required in more locations, such as outdoor events like sport, even when in your seat, other outdoor gatherings etc, and also whenever people are in areas like shopping malls, not just smaller shops. I see more benefit in pushing for this than vaccinations as we have covered 90%+ with those already. Increased mask usage may give us a bit more bang for our buck so to speak.
Kathy and I will just continue keeping ourselves out of harms way as best we can, do a few less outings than we may have previously, but try to live as normal a life as possible.
Stay safe, and we hope 2022 is a better year for you all.

Maybe I'm misinterpreted - I would like to know what is happening out there
regarding what attitude the van parks are taking to prospective campers.
Are the majority demanding no vax no camp, or are they allowing general
campers in or what?
Bit iffy about leaving for a stint away without knowing the likely scene.

If you are fully vaccinated then it should not matter.
If crossing borders when travelling you will have to check current requirements of those adjoining states.
If you arent vaccinated then you have the choice of being RESPONSIBLE and show RESPECT to others and get vaccinated or alternatively display your RIGHT not to be vaccinated or not to *show papers* your choice. Entering a caravan park at this stage will be based on requirements and expectations of the owner of the park.
BTW it is hardly being asked to *show papers* as we might have observed in Europe during world conflict.
More to the point if you have ever been vaccinated while in school in Australia you may have been issued an immunisation card which many of us had and in more recent times you have to show a passport and proof of applicable immunisation vaccination to travel to many overseas countries from Australian shores. This is not *showing your papers* as was coined during the war in Europe, and now unfortunately the same phrase is being used in total ignorance by anti vaxxers in Australia.
Of course the other alternative is to stay home and save us all the threat of you contracting Covid and then having to take a spot in a hospital ward or worse in an ICU ward.

Luckily for us, both of us are trippled vacced. I have had no contact, with him since he informed me, he is not really a bad bloke, but very miguided. It will come to ahead, when he and his whole family contract another variant, be that Omicron Percy I 8, or anything else, and it mostly likely will be deadly.

A month or so ago we got a regular newsletter from a Gold Coast CP that we have frequented for years.
The major focus of the newsletter was to advise that on check in guests would be required to produce proof of Vac before admission. There may have been advice on providing such evidence during on line booking. Not sure as I no longer have the eMail.
I thought that was a good idea. We are both triple vaxed and our whole Family is vaxed as well.

At my Sporting club, which comes under "Community Sports & Rec's" we can have doubled vaxed or an exemption sitting in the club house, drinking / eating or not, single vaxed or no vaxed can come in to sign register, buy a drink /meal, but must take outside to drink or eat it,
As of today masks are mandatory inside the club house "Unless" you are sitting down ! with a drink / meal or not......utter shambles, agree we all need to keep safe, but as we have been told we ALL will catch it ? so, We have a 'Training Group" of around 20 people, they all sit to take the exam, apparently there is no issue with that.
Anyway, until the next strain comes along stay safe as possible.

Just try getting into most pubs without showing *your papers* I know at least the pubs in the town I am in at the moment all ask for proof of the vax.
