We are half way through our 5th year on the road. When we changed from a converted bus to a 4wd & a Tvan motorhoming friends thought we wouldn't last more than 6 months in such a small living space. We do think we will one day return to motorhoming, but it will have to be a motorhome which can take us to the sort of places we go with the Tvan. If you watch the video (& I hope you do) you will find a slideshow not of our country's iconic destinations but of the sort of places we love to wake up in. The slideshow show's of the Tvan that we have come to love & trust in it's natural habitat. For us towns are supply centres rather than destinations. There is no right or wrong way to travel, but we do think that it is common for folk to mistakenly believe that the longer you are travelling for, the larger your accomodation needs to be. We commonly remain in the bush for 4 to 6 weeks between re-supplying.

Really enjoyed seeing the variety of places you've been too and what a Tvan is. Thanks.

Cuppa, we gave up caravanning, and went back to a hardfloor camper trailer in October. It was for the same reasons, that you have done it for , except, we intend to stay at this until we eventually will have to stop travelling. We have been away more times, since October last year, then we had in the 2 years previously, and that is not counting covid. We have only been outside of NSW twice in 2.5 years, so have seen many places on and offroad, in NSW that we have never visited in the last 40 years of travelling. It has been a complete buzz to be back to camping with the camper. We have not regretted giving up the luxuries of having a caravan. Having a smaller footprint, makes it so very easy to get very offroad now, doing stuff again that we did when we were younger. We absolutely love it. I think the best thing about getting offroad, is nobody else is out there, so we get the place to ourselves. This was a big reason for doing it, being on our own, having the -place to ourselves.
