"What happens to an electric vehicle's efficiency when towing? ---
it would achieve a range of just around 105 miles. That means frequent stops for charging. For comparison, an unladen e-tron is rated at 204 miles in the EPA's combined test and 203 miles in the EPA's highway test"
What is this guy talking about ? Efficiency ?? What he should be saying is, possibly, miles to the recharge which is what he is then quoting. Even the headline says "How Towing Affects an EV's Range" The "efficiency" is actually good as it is towing almost 2T so the GVM is about doubled. How does that compare to the utes you guys drive ?
Suprise suprise the range is halved ?? Nothing new to see here folks, move along now

No problem, just ring the RAC and they will arrive with a "Jerry Can" full of electricity :)

I've often wondered my self at what you do when the EV runs out of "fuel" in a remote location or even the Harbour Bridge.

Carry a generator and 20lts fuel in the boot. Problem sorted.

Make sure it is a 2AM run out though.

Personally I've never run out of fuel. I make sure that I plan a trip so that I can refuel before running out. I'd expect the same for an EV.

Gee Buzz, you have missed out some life experiences. Run out on a Western Melbourne very busy road in 1970, walk 2 miles to get some fuel, filler up with trucks whizzing past your bum, do a u i to take back the loaned container and then get more fuel.

Yes x2 . Indeed EVs do provide a lot more information and updated 'on the fly' range than normal vehicles, right in front of the display.
People cannot distinguish between a bit of humour with their comments or just being stupid IMHO. Why do they hate EVs.

I didn't notice any comments saying they hate EV's. All just humorous remarks .
Just poked my nose around the to see what's available in EV,s that could tow with a reasonable, it appears its a very narrow field, the Tesla x has a 600k range and can tow 2250kg.
But the price of the Tesla X is a killer, $255,000 for a 2nd hand 2020 model.
