I want head out that way but the rain Qld has had over the last few days I think I will wait until the state dries out.
I am finding the weather forecasts are very conflicting at present and causing confusion.
I try to stick to BOM more so than most of the others. Even the daily and overnight temperatures can vary by a few degrees depending on who is telling the story.

I'm pretty sure we've camped there for a couple of nights. The river was a lot lower then. It was so peaceful. The closest camp was about 100 metres away and at about 5pm someone in that camp would start playing his or her didgeridoo. I thoroughly recommend it.

Handy to Winton to use as a base to check out the Dinosaur neighborhood.
Stay up on the upper flat area if the outlook is for rain.
