Anyone know of someone, some place in Melbourne that hires out electric caravan movers? Could need one to get a caravan into my front yard, do some work on it, then get it back out.

Where in Melbourne are you and how long between in/out are you looking at
Also size of van, slope and terrain would be useful

Got a caravan in Bright that has to be removed. Trying to sell it but if push comes to shove I'm thinking getting it trucked home, do what's needed to get it registered, then sell it from home. Cannot get into the front yard with a car, just not enough room to get the angle. Thought if someone hired them could do it with one of them. Got till the end of August to get it out of the park, then how long for me to do the repairs and get it out of the front yard, could be a month between in and out, hopefully. 18' van, paved driveway onto only a slight slope of grass.

Knock a few star posts in the ground, look up abseiling anchoring to do it properly so they don't fly out & get a hand winch.

Forgot to say we're in Mill Park. Bugger the hand winch. I have a bad back, dont think it would put up with a hand winch. I had thought about using the winch on the Cruiser though. Do have some star pickets in the shed.

When I was a teenager, we had a plywood dodge inboard powerboat. Our driveway was quite steep uphill and about 60 or 70 metres long. My father had a 2 wheel, 1 wheel pulley with hemp rope. He anchored one end to the top of the driveway, the other end on the boat trailer axle and used the car to drive away and pull the boat up the hill. Worked a treat.

Thinking outside the box!
