Those cars would make for a very fast race but they tell me the pit stops are like watching Grass Grow.

How long do they take to charge up, does anyone know? What happens if it runs down when you are on the road? Can the RAC power you back up? I wouldn't want to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere.

What I believe will happen in motor racing is that when they are in the pits for charging the pit crew have generators driven by the back wheel of a bicycle and each pit crew will compete to determine how quick they can charge the batteries and get the cars back onto the track.
It is reported in the same story that the actual drivers will participate in a game of Draughts, Chess, or Cribbage to while away their time.
This new format will be riveting for the spectators.
Is the future a road full of electric cars with this kind of acceleration and speed? I guess would make passing a road train a little easier.

was a guy camped next to us at Cooinda lodge in Kakadu, was from Victoria and camping in his Tesla.
got his monies worth from the powered site for sure.
if he was towing he could put extra batteries to power the car in the van...
