Judith Durham passed away last night, voice of an angel, puts a few of the present bunch in the shade,

She could hold a pure note, a total contrast to the vibrato wobbly voices that are thought to be wonderful these days.
Singing is not all about full throttle yelling.
Judith had a wonderful voice & The Seekers recorded many classic songs.
Some may not know that she was a fantastic soulful jazz vocalist.
Sad to hear of her passing, we're all approaching our calling.

A beautiful voice and a wonderful person. I listened to quite a few interviews in which she spoke on a myriad of subjects.
A very intelligent and caring person. A very sad day for us all.

Loved their music. Judith was always the same, no over blown ego, no screaming into a microphone with a tortured look mouth all agape, and then that lovely crystal clear voice. Cannot compare their music to modern day rubbish.
Goodbye Judith, loved you heaps.

A wonderful person and a great singer lost, another angel in heaven who must be leading the choir. I agree with all of the comments a pure voice, nothing forced just a beautiful resonance.

Olivia. A beautiful lady who faced down the beast for twenty odd years. She worked tirelessly for those other women who had the same problem. Life has a way of suddenly making us all aware of our mortality.
Gone but certainly not forgotten.

RIP both Olivia and Judith.
And both of them were able to sell millions of records etc without having to take their clothes off and carry on, on the stage.
The young ones today with all the yelling, screaming inaudible words mean nothing to some of us older generation. And they don't seem to be able to get on a stage unless in a state of undress.
Maybe that's the only way they can get the young ones to look at them. Not me.
I much prefer to listen to most of the good singers of our generation anytime.
Singing is not all about full throttle yelling.
