If I lived at Woodburn and wanted to get to Deepwater, I would go one time via Grafton, Glen Innes and the next time go via Casino, Tenterfield the other.
Much and much. Both got there good points.

G'day Don
Grafton to Casino via the Summerland Way is a very pleasant drive - no major hills and several stopping places
Grafton to Tabulum ... half-way across to Tenterfield - a delightful country road, not used by the trucks, plenty of scenery and several stopping places along the way
Grafton direct to Glen Innes ... you will find what the steering wheel is there for! ... plenty of scenery and a few stopping places as well
Done all the above multiple times over the last decade
Hope this helps
Phil

Hi SaGDay. I have done both and as Radar has already said, much the same. I have towed my van which ways about 2.2 tonne both ways on the Casino - Tenterfield trip and one way on the Grafton to Glen Innis trip. Both pretty straight forward with perhaps the Grafton Glen Innis a bit more winding. There are several places on both trips you can take a break and both have good scenery. There are quite a few places to pull over and let the traffic go through as well on both routes.
There are always plenty of cars towing vans on each road so take your pick and come back the other way. You will enjoy it I am sure.

Thank you all for the replies and which I now can make the decision which to take
What is the best of the 2 highways to travel;
1. From Casino to Tenterfield
2. From Grafton to Glenn Innes
Ford sedan towing light caravan (Legal)
