No i haven't , but vowed never to go to Tassie again via Melbourne. Had no option but to illegally park to be sure to to arrive in time.
It appears that the Geelong terminal will have me returning.

I live in Leopold and watched it being built, the road into the facility was also upgraded, I think the only thing that works against it is acess from the other side of melbourne, ie mornington pennisula.
Sorrento ferry could help but its another cost.

Going to Vic in a couple of weeks,
My uncle lives within walking distance ( Norlane ) of the terminal,
Which is good for us going back and forth to see him on our trips to the mainland...for the time being.
We have no real interest in Geelong and the greater South West districts any more as our families mostly live in the north of Vic.
Once my uncle goes " fishin" for the last time we will just get the " heck out of Dodge " and head towards the Hume and Goulburn Valley highways...and grumble about the extra 160 extra k's we will have to do each return trip compared to Port Melb...specially if caught in the frequent traffic jams on the Princess hwy
He has peered through the fence at the terminal,
As a permanet resident he is a little concerned about calls for the parking areas to be turned into a unoffical camp ground.

Just returned from a month in Tassie.
Left the nightmare driving & parking in Melbourne and returned to Geelong.
What a revelation the Geelong terminal is.
Easy to disembark and a dream run to the Hume to go north.
Best thing ever done to move to the new location.
I will probably repeat the trip when the new Spirits arrive.
