We have an old 2006 Windsor Genesis and the air con has gone, will cost approx $4000 I think to replace which is way to much for us and the age of the van. Does anyone know anything about the 2 portable air cons I mentioned above, maybe an option?

Any portable air conditioner you are wasting your time unless you can duct the condenser side, both exhaust & intake to the outside.
They also struggle in high ambient temperatures. We have two 3.5kW Dimplex units. 3.5kW is about the minimum capacity of any use. We have ducted condenser side both exhaust & intake to outside. Looks a bit of dog's breakfast.
Infinitely better option:
Mount a Mitsubishi or Daikin 2.5kW on the A frame. A number of people here are using these air conditioners.
I have one of these in a Unit I let (lucky tenants!) & they are brilliant. They leave portable air conditioners for dead.

Good advice from Jonathan, with Mitsubishi 2.5kw only $700 at Good Guys. Cheers

Don't go with the Zero Breeze, read the reviews on them, they are defective, my daughter uses a panasonic portable 3.5kw in her camper in summer and it works quite okay considering her camper walls and roof are canvas, and I am going to get one as well when I move from the free camp I am moving into the week after next come summer, to a nearby c.van park.

Both devices you list are intended to provide a stream of cooled air directed to the person, bit like directing the AirCon outlet vents in the car towards you. They are not intended to cool a space. I have a Cool Comfort version of these personal air cons and use it all the time. It works well in the manner intended and will cool a bed tent size space only.

Thank you for your reply and advice. Need to find a caravan air con specialist in the Mandurah area.

This is one of our 3.5kW Dimplex portable air conditioners, fully custom ducted as per my design (took years of trial & endless error to progress design), in other words getting blood out of 17 bags of stones to put it mildly!
We can't install a proper air conditioner in our block of units. So it's best alternative work around. My feeling with all the modifications it works about 50% at good as the 2.5kW split system in my tennant's Unit, which also have a 5.0kW air conditioner.
A 2.5kW air conditioner placed back to back is cheap. If it dies in 5 years (highly unlikely, average 13 years in our experience on many installations) it is still so much cheaper amortised, & infinity a far better setup on every perameter than a portable. Look at a 5 year year amortised cost performance ratio. It is a no brainer if there is a spot for the compressor.
You can even run it off a reasonable battery setup on economy setting without too many issues, or a small battery set-up on desperate nights on economy mode. Or run off a generator... life is too short... factor in the value of priorities!
A 2.5kW split system will run rings around all the BS failed caravan air conditioners.

Listening to the radio this morning. Even BHP was conned by so called air conditioning experts. If I was a share holder I would want two egg shape things on a platter! How dumb are these people, or are there brown paper bags involved.
Air conditioning is a simple numbers back of the envelope calculation.
A 2.5kW Mitsubishi or Daikin split system will be the cheapest setup for a caravan with +500% efficiency.
Throw out the gas bottles & fit the condenser.
& by the way you will have heating as well, so throw out the diesel heater. So no consumables.

The Zero Breeze and Coolzy are tiny air conditioners, the BTU of them is so low they couldn't possibly cool effectively even the smallest van, all they would be useful for is as a personal cooler if sitting right in front of one. The other suggestions above make much more sense.
