Being an AUSTRALIAN FIRST, and born and bred in QUEENSLAND, What an exciting we Queenslanders have this weekend in the field of sport.
As you may be aware the Brisbane Bears play Collingwood for the AFL-covered Grand Final prize.
Whilst the Mighty Brisbane Broncos will be aiming for victory over Penrith in Sydney.
I wish both the Brisbane teams all the best with particular emphasis on the Broncos.
What a weekend of sport, two grand footy finals and of course the Ryder Cup of golf in Italy. Europeans are leading 6 and a half to the USA 1 and a half points.
Which teams do you believe will be victorious?
To all sports lovers enjoy the experience.

G'day Jay&Dee, long time no hear/see,
Mate, the Bears are in permanent hibernation. They have been known as the Lions for many moons now
Should be a good game though and hope your mob stand proud later today.
As for Penrith, I'd like to see them, well, not win

Maaaate its an Australian Rules Football Grand Final, why do we need overseas burnt out musicans for the pregame show, didnt likem before dont likem now.
It was better when we had the under 19's, then the Magoo's culminating with One's.
If we have to have music FFS use Aussie talent.
Carn the Lion's and Bronco's

Hi Doug,
You are right Doug. I am not a follower of the AFL league.
I have always been a supporter of Rugby League from way back, and more so the NRL system on offer today.
Yep, I note that the Lions almost pulled off an upset.
Looking forward to tonight's NRL Grand Final.
Go the Mighty Brisbane Broncos.

The Panthers are in another class, they are a machine...the only way they will be beaten is, if they have an off night and The Broncos play to their absolute best.

You may be right, but then again you may be wrong.
We will see by around 10 pm.
All I would like to see is that both teams give their best for the 80 minutes
Go...the broncos.

Didnt really take much notice of the AFL once the Swans departed but I saw that Cpllingwood won so bad luck Brisbane at least you got there. As far as the NRL goes I have been on the fence since the Knights got hammered by the WAHs but I would like to see the Broncos get up just for the sake of the game. A win by Brisbane would really see them return as a force in the NRL and bring in an army of new young fans. . Dont disregard the Broncos they are an excellent side, probably not as well structured or disciplined in attack as the Panthers but thats what makes them dangerous and hard to defend against..
My main interest is more in our Knights girls going back to back in the WNRL they really have shown a huge turn around in the 3 years in the comp 1 x wooden spoon with zero wins, 1 x premiership as an underdog scraping into the finals, 1 x minor preimership only losing 1 game this season, plus whatever happens in the GF today

I have to say, the Broncos are playing out of their skin and smashing the Panther machine...this os like State of Origin, where Qld just play with absolute passion and power.
Good luck to them they are playing magnificent football And too good even with 25 minutes to go.

Now I understand why so many NSW supporters hated Wally. I feel the same about Daddy's boy Nathan.
He was certainly the difference.
(It'll be interesting to see how Mal handles him. He hasn't often done well in rep games. Perhaps he only plays for daddy)
Broncos were great (for a small period of the game) but the Panther's system deservedly won the game.
Cobbo didn't get over his early error, but that is how he plays. Rhys played his usual error filled, brilliant game.
About the only thing the Queenslanders won this weekend was my Grandson's U17 In Line Hockey National Titles. Beat NSW too which was a bonus.

We LOST
Now here is my view. In any given game of football, you never give ground to your opposition.
We lost because Adam Reynolds ( or the Bronco's game plan) was too short kick again into the RED ZONE region.
First kick the by A.R. gave a penalty to Penrith right in front of the stick.
The second kick again into the RED Zone region a walk-over try and 6 points.
Now imagine if A.R had kicked the ball on each occasion of the three occasions 50 metres down the field which would have seen Penrith 40 metres out.
Adam Reynolds needs a kick alright, right where the sun does not shine.
3 great tries by Mr. MAM.
Almost an upset.
Just my view.

Yes, certainly do & hasn't he done well this year despite being pulled a few times.
I see that Nathan is not available to play for his country, nothing new there though.
That would-be fullback from Rabitos is also not available due to injury but was able to play in a Kori tournament last weekend.
