We have friends who will be sailing over from Tassie with their van in January unfortunately there are only 2 trips that they can book and both are daytime sailings. The ferry docks around 6pm in Geelong and they will be looking for somewhere to camp probably no more than an hour or 2 max away heading towards Canberra. They have done the trip before but always on night sailings arriving at Port Melbourne in the morning so they have had plenty of time to get well up the road, Can anyone suggest a good place for them to stay that is within that sort of range ?

Hi Dave, Wiki camps says there's a free camp behind the Broadford Bowling Club, about 150km from Geelong, while the Little River Pub, just across from Avalon Airport, has $10 camping. Cheers

Meredith Victoria, not far up the road. Quiet, easy to find turn left at the shop 200 metres along.
