Just wondering if anyone has done the Ghan Heritage Road towing a Hybrid Off Road with a Landcruiser.
Anything I should know
Thanks

If you mean the Old Ghan Rail Track.
I did it in 2014 and the track was fine however near Rodinga got a flat caused by a rail spike. Kept an eagle eye after that as there were hundreds.
Don't know if they have been cleared since then?

I thought about driving it last year, but the rains came. My main concern was the rail spikes. I'm not sure how bad that issue is now. The road is well travelled during the FInke desert race

Couple of pics from 2007.
No punctures :)
Most of the track is better than this, but it can be corrugated, especially the northern part due to traffic from Alice to Chambers Pillar.
Chambers Pillar.
I would also recommend driving between Oodnadatta and Finke via Eringa waterhole. Easy, but remote. We took friends that way in 2016. They were towing a 23ft van.
Couple of very short clips....
Eringa waterhole in 2023.
EDIT.
Another short vid of "slow TV" (under 4 minutes).
Some of our favorite country.
Cheers,
Peter
