Looking at getting a couple of sirocco fans fitted to van,
they as fairly expensive, so are they worth the money, i have a small fan 240v and its useless
is there any other fans that work,
90% time we will be in caravan parks

They are expensive but they are also the best (move plenty of air, quiet, & lower power consumption than most). Having had a few different fans inside RV's over the years & then a Caframo Sirocco, the Sirocco would still be my choice.

We purchased an inexpensive Oztrail box fan at Anaconda. It operates off 12v (either cigarette plug or internal battery), also 240v - On battery one charge lasts about 30hours fan time, with two fan speeds it also has LED lights of varying intensities.
Without a doubt this is the best purchase of camping equipment I have ever purchased.

We have 2 sirroco fans mounted high up on each side of the foot of the bed. You can run them on 3 different speeds, they are quiet especially on the lower speeds, the whole fan body swivels 180deg and the cage tilts to any angle to you can direct the flow to where ever you are in the van. We seldom find the need to run the air con even in the tropics because the fans usually do a good enough job. When not using them I find them to be a handy place to hang a hat or a shirt off. Our grandkids bought us a 12V portable fan for the previous van but we never found it to be that good. Maybe its just in my head but these sirrocos mounted higher up seem to be way more effective compared to the portable fan sitting on a bench top at the same level..No idea how they compare in terms of cost with other brands on the market because they were included as standard in the van when we bought it.

X 2 Possum.
Great for sitting outside, completely portable.
I paid $50 at Aldi on special, sold it last week for $25 at a caravan sale (garage sale) at my place, got rid of a lot of stuff actually.

Sirocco fans for us as well. We have 2 one over each side of the bed similar to The Belmont Bear, they are great.

We also stay mainly at Caravan Parks.
I installed a fixed el chepo 240v fan at the foot of the bed & it is really good, all we normally need.
I have another of the same that sits (not fixed) on the top of the fridge cabinet that services the lounge / kitchen area. It can also be taken outside if required. I fitted a hook to the underside of the Microwave cabinet above the fridge that hooks into the fan's safety frame & holds it in position when traveling.
I also installed two Canadian 'Caframo' 12v fans at the bed heads. I wired them through $3 Chinese speed controllers that enable infinite speed control. They are fantastic & can be adjusted so that they are almost completely silent and are able to be swivelled to blow air gently across any part or the whole body.
Rarely use the A/C while sleeping ... we don't like the noise of the roof mounted unit. (the barrel shaped fan is efficient but noisy).

Not a fan of Sirocco, excuse the pun.
As my cordless tool collection is Ozito I settled on their fan which is quiet, high volume and 12V, 240V and compatible with Ozito batteries.
There are a lot of better and cheaper alternative fans out there.

Yep .. My Son is a tradie & he uses the Milwaukie range, including their fan. Great product but a lot dearer than the Oito.
